Who We Are
First Responders For Fitness is a charitable 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization of federal, state, and municipal law enforcement, fire/medic, nurse, and lifeguard personnel. We service public/private, paid/volunteer, active/reserve/retired and civilian members.
Our Mission
We're on a mission to:
- Promote health and wellness through educational programs and special events for First Responders and the communities we have sworn to serve.
- Encourage the use of the “4 Fitness” concept for sound mental, spiritual, nutritional, and physical fitness.
- Enhance First Responders performance capabilities and productivity while increasing life longevity.
- Minimize risk management issues via safe work practices and proactive counter-measures.
- Reduce emergency situations by educating civilians on early detection, prevention, and safety.

Roger Harper
FR4F President, Father, Detroit Fire Fighter / Haz-Mat Technician, Athlete
As a founding member of FR4F Roger brings visionary leadership, project management, and integrity to our Executive Board. His passion to unite First Responders and provide optimum health and wellness for all is synergistic to our mission. With an organized sports and Business Analyst background he is a dedicated team player and problem resolution expert. Since 1992 he has traveled the globe and placed in many international competitions: US Masters Swimming National Championships, Canadian-American Police-Fire Games, World Firefighters Games, and the World Police & Fire Games. Having 32 years experience in Public Safety Roger learned a long time ago; “Being a First Responder is not an occupation, it’s a lifestyle.”
Diane McKee
FR4F Vice President
Diane brings over 18 years of law enforcement experience and has performed in multiple units of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. As a Sergeant she started the first WCSO Tug-of-War team and in 2016, chaired the first annual WCSO Field Day. Diane co-founded Lunches of Love which services the needs of the less fortunate in the metro Detroit area and she currently competes in the figure division of the NPC (National Physique Committee). Diane has been actively involved in fitness her entire life and is pursuing personal training certification and a degree in Nutrition. She is also a prior Panther Sports nutrition athlete and currently a brand ambassador for Just Live. Diane’s passion is bringing the community together through wellness and she delivers! Her motto: “The power of community to create health is far greater than any physician, clinic or hospital”.
Andrew Geldmacher
FR4F Trustee
Andrew is a dedicated Deputy with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Captain of their men’s tug of war team. As a key organizer for the initial Wayne County Sheriff’s Field Day he designed and coordinated the First Responder obstacle course. Andrew has a genuine passion for health, fitness, and bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community. He shows this by participating in events such as; Special Olympics Polar Plunge, Fight For Air Climb, Salvation Army bell ringing, feeding the homeless with Lunches of Love, and Feed The Need: Homeless For A Night. Andrew’s integrity, exceptional work ethic, and dependability are top-notch and his organizational skills bring vital support to our mission.
Dena Raptis
Owner, FIT Enterprises, LLC & Certified Personal Trainer
Dena Raptis, native Detroiter, has been passionately involved in the fitness and wellness industry for over thirty years. While her professional career began working for several fitness facilities in Detroit , she quickly expanded to co-owning a successful dance/fitness, personal training and martial arts studio in the Boston area. Dena has also been the Group Exercise Department Head and Master Instructor Trainer for Life Time Fitness. Today she is Founder and Owner of FIT Enterprises.
Dena has done it all. Whether it is developing, continuing education workshops for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, (AFAA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), teaching a variety of successful, group exercise classes, aqua and yoga, consulting for a variety of needs for existing health clubs and start ups, corporate fitness and wellness, personal one on one training, working with autistic, downs syndrome and other mentally challenged individuals, children, seniors, post rehab, back, shoulder and knees, her dedication to providing the most safe, effective and fun programs knows no end.
